Supervision Agreement
General:
Before you can start counting your supervised experience hours, the Board needs the following:
- Your completed license application on file.
- A passing score on the jurisprudence exam.
- A passing score on the national exam.
- A W-4 showing you're an employee at the place where you'll be supervised.
- A completed Supervision Agreement form.
Important warning: Your supervised hours only start counting from the date the Board approves your Supervision Agreement — not from whenever you actually start working with your supervisor. If you rack up hours before that approval date, they won't count, and doing so could even get you or your supervisor penalized (formal complaint, revocation of application, possible loss of the supervisor's approved status).
How to submit: Upload both the Supervision Agreement and your W-4 through the online Applicant Portal.
Bottom line: Get everything approved first, then start your hours — don't jump the gun.
