TUPELO, OK — The Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics (ODAA) is proud to recognize Dallas Krebs as the Aerospace Student of the Month for April 2026. A sophomore at Tupelo High School and a resident of Coalgate, Krebs is being honored for his leadership in the classroom and his innovative application of aviation technology to Oklahoma’s agricultural traditions.

Through his high school aviation program, Krebs found a way to combine his Oklahoma ranching roots with modern technology. Earlier this year, he successfully earned his Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 remote pilot certification, motivating him to bridge the gap between aerospace and agriculture.

“Dallas Krebs has shown remarkable growth in both academics and leadership over the past two years. His passion for aviation has brought a new level of purpose to his educational journey and career planning,” said Kathy Ingram, aviation instructor at Tupelo High School. “As an FAA certified drone operator, Dallas plans to launch a search and rescue drone business focused on wildlife and livestock. He also holds the future goal of one day establishing his own business specializing in the aerial application of pesticides and herbicides. These ventures demonstrate his commitment to leveraging his skills for greater use in rural Oklahoma.”

Krebs is already gaining professional experience by capturing real estate drone videography. His future plans include specialized training in John Deere diesel equipment service and incorporating thermal drone technology into livestock recovery efforts.

Krebs is frequently the first to volunteer for flight practice and remains a driving force in the Tupelo aviation curriculum. By integrating drone operations into the ranching lifestyle, he has become a standout figure in the state’s evolving aerospace landscape.

The ODAA salutes Dallas Krebs for his vision and dedication to the future of rural Oklahoma.
