Cache Senior Michael Hall Recognized for Leadership, Dedication to Aviation

Friday, May 01, 2026

CACHE, Okla. — The Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics (ODAA) is proud to announce Michael Hall, a senior at Cache High School, is the Aerospace Student of the Month for May 2026. This recognition highlights Hall’s exceptional leadership, technical proficiency, and dedication to the future of Oklahoma’s aviation industry.

Hall’s journey into aviation was inspired by his grandfather’s service in the U.S. Air Force. This initial interest evolved into a dedicated career path after he enrolled in his high school’s aviation program. Since then, Hall has established himself as a top-tier student-pilot and technician, competing in the OSU Drone Search and Rescue competition and earning the title of one of five “Top Gun Aviators” at the Oklahoma High School State Aviation Championship.

“Michael Hall joined the aviation program during our first year,” said Josh English, Hall’s aviation instructor. “Although he was a senior, he never treated it like a freshman-level class. He participated in every activity and consistently excelled at every level. As the year progressed, Michael recognized the many career opportunities available in Oklahoma within the aviation and aerospace community and made the decision to pursue a future in aviation. The future of Oklahoma is in good hands with solid individuals like Michael leading the way.”

Beyond the cockpit, Hall is a prominent leader within his school and community. He is an active member of the Technology Student Association (TSA) and serves as the Chaplain for the Cache Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter. An avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing, Hall credits his success to a strong support system.

“I would not have made it this far without help from my aviation teacher Mr. English, my grandpa, and the rest of my aviation class,” said Hall. “After I joined the aviation class, the rest just seemed to come naturally.”

Following graduation, Hall plans to attend Cameron University. He has also expressed an interest in pursuing a career as an air traffic controller, aiming to contribute to the safety and efficiency of Oklahoma’s busy airspace. The ODAA congratulates Michael Hall on this achievement and his bright future in the aerospace industry.
