Craig Campbell of Shamrock, Oklahoma was appointed by Speaker of the House Kyle Hilbert in July of 2025 to serve on the Oklahoma Aerospace and Aeronautics Commission as the House-designated commissioner. Campbell is a nationally recognized aerospace and military leader with more than 40 years of experience across the public and private sectors, including serving as Alaska’s 10th lieutenant governor.
Campbell held several leadership roles in Alaska, including President and CEO of the Alaska Aerospace Corporation from 2012-2019 and manager of Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport from 2022-2024. He was also appointed by Gov. Mike Dunleavy to the Alaska Railroad Corporation Board of Directors, serving as board chair.
Campbell’s state government experience includes serving as commissioner of the Alaska Department of Military and Veterans Affairs under two governors and leading the Alaska National Guard as the state’s Adjutant General. He retired in 2009 after 35 years of service with the dual ranks of Major General (USAF) and Lieutenant General (AKNG).
