The Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) is seeking a candidate to fill the role of Executive Director.
We are Oklahomans giving back to Oklahoma. Each year the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) collects and distributes over $11 billion to over 200 state agencies, funds and programs.
Since 1931, the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) has held the responsibility of the collection and administration of taxes, licenses and fees that impact Oklahomans.
The Commission is comprised of three Governor appointed and Oklahoma Senate confirmed commissioners. The Executive Director oversees the general practices of the agency and is assisted by a team of over a dozen division directors whose staff encompass the agency.
Under the direction of the state legislature, the OTC manages not only the collection of taxes and fees, but also the distribution and apportionment of the collected revenue to state departments and projects to maintain and improve education, transportation, healthcare, agriculture and much more. Additionally, the OTC distributes certain ear-marked funds to counties, school districts and municipalities throughout the state.
Throughout the decades, the OTC has prioritized a flexible organization that encourages keeping pace with changes in technology, government structure and the ever-changing lifestyles of our taxpayers. The OTC is comprised of over 600 communicators, educators, administrators, accountants, IT professionals, researchers and customer service professionals committed to meeting the needs of Oklahoma taxpayers.
