Virtual open house now online for US-81 and SH-7 junction improvements in Stephens County

Monday, November 22, 2021

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is presenting a virtual open house to provide information and get public input on proposed improvements to the US-81 and SH-7 junction between Duncan and Marlow in Stephens County.

The intersection has traffic safety and operational issues, including increasing traffic volumes and the need for improved left turns at US-81 and SH-7.

The virtual open house will allow members of the public to view an interactive map of the area, design proposals for the intersection along with the opportunity to give feedback on the proposals.

US-81 and SH-7 Junction Virtual Open House

Available through Dec. 1

The public can visit to view project materials and submit comments online through Dec. 1.

Construction at the intersection is scheduled to go to bid in Federal Fiscal Year 2026. Depending on the design alternative ultimately selected, right-of-way acquisition and utility relocation may be required and would begin in 2023, if necessary.
