Friday, February 28, 2020

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation and the Grand River Dam Authority will host a public meeting on March 5 in Langley to share information on an upcoming bridge rehabilitation project on SH-28 at the Pensacola Dam. The work will have a significant impact on traffic in this corridor.

This is a joint project by ODOT and GRDA to repair the bridges and decks on the SH-28 bridge at the Pensacola Dam and also two spillway bridges at the Grand Lake O’ The Cherokees. The project will let for construction later this year and work is expected to take nine months to complete. During key phases of work in some areas, all lanes of SH-28 will close to traffic and detour to SH-82 and SH-20. Accommodations will be made when possible to open to traffic during previously scheduled community events in this area.

The public is invited to attend the meeting to learn more about the project and provide any additional input.
