Ron McDaniel
District Six Engineer


Ron McDaniel was named ODOT District Six Engineer in 2010. As District Engineer, he oversees all construction and maintenance operations on highways in Alfalfa, Beaver, Cimarron, Ellis, Harper, Major, Texas, Woods and Woodward counties in northwestern Oklahoma and the Panhandle.

He was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and graduated from Capitan High School in Capitan, New Mexico. He then graduated from New Mexico State University with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering in 1990 and became a licensed Professional Engineer in 1997.


Previously, McDaniel served as a resident engineer in Altus from 1999 to 2005 and as the assistant district engineer in charge of maintenance operations for 11 western and southwestern Oklahoma counties in Division Five from 2005 to 2010.
He and his wife, Diane, have two children, a son, Andre and a daughter, Ara.
