OBESPA Board
Board Overview
The agency is governed by five board members. The board members are residents of Oklahoma and appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate.
The board is composed of 5 members consisting of three licensed speech-language pathologists or audiologists, one otolaryngologist who is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and one lay member.
The board is established in order to safeguard the public health, safety and welfare, and to protect the public from being misled by incompetent, unscrupulous and unqualified persons, it is necessary to provide regulatory authority over persons offering speech-language pathology and audiology services to the public.
