Oklahoma Book Awards
The call for entries for the 37th Annual Oklahoma Book Awards closed on January 7, 2026. During this year’s submission period, authors, poets, illustrators, photographers, and book designers were invited to enter eligible titles published in 2025 that feature Oklahoma or were created by individuals who live or have lived in the state.
All submissions are now under review by the awards judging panel. Finalists will be announced in spring 2026, followed by the awards ceremony later in the season.

Eligibility
The Oklahoma Center for the Book (OCB) has partnered with the non-profit Friends of the Oklahoma Center for the Book for more than 30 years to co-sponsor the annual Oklahoma Book Awards.
The OCB, located in the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, is affiliated with the National Center for the Book in the Library of Congress.
The Center’s mission is to promote Oklahoma authors, celebrate the state’s literary heritage, encourage reading for pleasure by Oklahomans.
