MISSION

The mission of the Developmental Disabilities Council of Oklahoma is to advance communities where everyone has the opportunity to live, learn, work, and play where they choose. The Council builds partnerships to change systems to improve services, resources, and supports for Oklahomans with developmental disabilities and their families.

Youth Leadership Forum (YLF)

YLF is a 5 day leadership training program for high school students with a disability. Typically, YLF is held annually in mid-June on a college campus.

Partners in Policymaking (PIP)

The goal of Partners in Policymaking is to provide the skills needed to engage effectively with legislators, state and/or local policymakers, and others to advocate for change.

Resources

Our resources help families and individuals with disabilities connect to services, supports, and networks.

State Plan

Councils develop a Five Year State Plan, which sets forth an agenda of goals, objectives, and activities to be achieved over a Five Year time period. 

Apply for Funding

Does your organization have an idea to improve the lives of families and persons with developmental disabilities? Apply for partial funding.
