The City of Hobart is accepting applications for the positions of full-time Police Officer and full-time School Resource Officer.
CLEET-certified officers will be given hiring preference. If you hold a Reserve Commission, you must be able to complete the CLEET Bridge Program.
We are a proactive department and as such we are looking for a candidate who is self-motivated and has a true desire to serve and protect the citizens of our community.
Applicants must pass written POSSE test, physical agility test, MMPI and Oklahoma Police Pension physical. Benefits include take home vehicle, paid holidays, paid vacation, sick time and insurance paid for employee. Pay raise at the six-month mark and one-year mark. We are on a two week pay cycle. There is a one-year probationary period. The department requires a 2-year contract for all certified officers and a three-year contract for no-certified officers, signed at time of hiring.

- Must have a high school diploma or GED •
- Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver's License •
- Must pass a background investigation •
- No felony convictions or major misdemeanors •
- No domestic violence convictions •
- No convictions for crimes of moral turpitude •
- No pending criminal charges •
- Must NOT have had a DUI, DWI or reckless driving violation within the last five (5) years •
- Must be available to work shift work and holidays •
- Highly principled ethics and moral character
- A true desire to serve all members of society
