| Minimum Requirements |
| The preferred candidate must be CLEET certified, and an advantage will go to those who are already trained and certified as an SRO and have demonstrated a good work history in that role and a solid understanding of the importance of a successful SRO program. Non-SRO trained candidates will also be considered. Successful candidates in this case must demonstrate a knowledge of the duties required, and a strong desire to serve students, parents, school faculty and the community by providing protection, education, counseling, support and enforcement in a small school environment. They must have an excellent law-enforcement work history and a demonstrable reputation of integrity and professionalism as a law enforcement officer. |
| Key Responsibilities |
| School Resource Deputy is a sworn position in which you are responsible for safety and crime prevention in schools. School Resource Deputies are sworn peace officers with the ability to make arrests, respond to calls for service, and document incidents. |

| The SRO position has a starting salary range of $48,500 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience, plus employee health insurance and retirement plan. The position includes a take-home vehicle, uniform/cleaning allowance and phone allowance. |
