Minimum Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen, at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and pass a psychological examination and a comprehensive background check including fingerprint clearance from the FBI and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI). You must not have any felony, domestic violence, or moral turpitude convictions. CLEET certifications preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Patrolling, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and enforcing laws to ensure public safety. Their responsibilities also involve community engagement, preparing reports, appearing in court, and continuing their professional development through ongoing training programs mandated by CLEET (the Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training).
