Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Driver’s License
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Eligble to attend CLEET Basic Peace Officer Academy
- Must pass background investigation (no felony convictions)
- Must pass physical exam, POSSE, and MMPI
- Required to complete field training program
Key Responsibilities
Summary:
Performs frontline law enforcement duties including patrol, response, investigation, and community engagement. Maintains public safety through proactive policing and ethical conduct.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Patrols assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity
• Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls for service
• Conducts traffic stops, investigations, and arrests
• Prepares detailed reports and provides courtroom testimony
• Engages with the public to build trust and address concerns
• Upholds departmental values and legal standards
Salary/Compensation
$21.04 hourly until certified through CLEET
