Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Hold a valid Oklahoma driver’s license
- Be a United States citizen
- Possess CLEET Reserve or Full Time Certification
- Have no felony convictions
- Have no domestic violence–related convictions or protective orders
- Be able to pass a background check
- Be able to pass drug screening
- Be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Be able to operate a patrol vehicle safely
- Be able to work independently and in a team environment
- Be of good moral character and capable of public interaction
- Be able to complete department-provided training and Field Training Program
Key Responsibilities
• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect crime
• Enforce city ordinances, state and federal laws
• Perform traffic enforcement and crash response
• Respond to calls for service
• Assist in criminal investigations
• Prepare accurate written reports
• Attend required training and meetings
• Assist with community events and outreach
• Maintain issued equipment and uniforms
• Work under supervision of full-time officers and command staff
