Key Responsibilities

The School Resource Officer (SRO) will patrol the middle school, The SRO will be required to maintain a safe and peaceful environment for the students, employees, and visitors. Additionally, this position will interact with the public on a daily basis and create and atmosphere of trust and cooperation. \

• Must be a Citizen of the United States
• Must be 21-45 years of age Full time only
• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• Must have valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
• Must be of good Moral Character
• Suitable Emotional Stability
• Must not have been convicted of Domestic Abuse
• Must not be under Protective Order
• No Felony Convictions or DUI
• Must pass Drug and Alcohol Screen
• Must successfully pass Psychological Test
• Have excellent verbal and written Communication skills
• Able to work Nights, Weekends and Holidays.
• Must have principled Ethics and Moral Character
• If Military Service must have Honorable Discharge, provide DD214
• Must successfully complete a Physical assessment Test and Written Exam
• Must successfully pass a rigorous Background Investigation.
• If Reserve certified, must be able to pass and complete Bridge Academy
• Ability to perform all Aspects of Community Policing
• Preference is given to applicants with Current CLEET Certification
