| Minimum Requirements |
| • Must be CLEET certified • Must not currently be subject to an order of any state revoking, suspending, or accepting a voluntary surrender of peace officer certification • Must be at least 21 years of age • Must be a United States Citizen • Must be able to pass an extensive background investigation and oral interview • Must not have been involuntarily committed to an Oklahoma state mental institution • Must not currently be undergoing treatment for a mental illness, condition or disorder • Must not be a current user of controlled substances • Must have a high school diploma or GED • Must not be subject to a final order of protection • Must not have a conviction, or be participating in a deferred sentence agreement, for a felony, a crime involving moral turpitude or a crime of domestic violence • Must not have any criminal charges pending in any Municipal, State, Tribal or Federal/Military court • If prior military service, must have an Honorable discharge • If currently serving in the US military, no non-judicial (Article 15) proceedings within the prior two (2) years of date of application • Must possess a valid Driver's License • Must not have a DUI, DWI or Reckless Driving violation within the prior five (5) years of application date • Driving record must be acceptable to City insurance carrier • Reside within the City of Cyril or willing to relocate within 30 miles if selected for the position • Must be available any shift (Nights, weekends, and holidays) and other special events as needed • Must have high principles, ethics and moral character • Must be highly self-motivated and able to work in a small, rural community |
