Minimum Requirements
You must pass an extensive background check, pass a physical agility test, posse test, MMPI test, drug and alcohol screenings.
You must be a U.S. Citizen.
You must be 21-45 years of age.
You must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License with a good driving record.
You must possess a high school diploma or GED.
You must not have any felony convictions.
You must not have any Domestic Violence type convictions.
You must be able to thrive in a small-town atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a self-motivated type person, someone who is interested in enforcing the municipal ordinances of the City of Kingfisher as well as Oklahoma State Statutes listed in, but not limited to, titles 21, 22, 47 and 63.
Salary/Compensation
Starting pay for an Uncertified officer is $45,858.00 and for a Certified officer is $48,214.00
There are pay increases for the CLEET Intermediate and Advanced Certifications.
We are a participating member of the Oklahoma Police Pension Retirement System (OPPRS).
Up to 560 hours of accrued Paid Time Off (PTO).
12 paid Holidays a year (96hrs) off. (The officer may work that actual day but it is put into their bank to be taken off on a day of their choosing later in that year)
The city pays for health, dental, vision and life insurance(s) for each officer. They also pay up to 65% on medical and dental insurance for that officer’s family members.
