Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Must be a citizen of the United States and possess a valid OK Driver License
• Must be between the ages of 21 and 45
• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must not have any felony convictions, serious misdemeanor convictions, domestic violence convictions, pending criminal charges
• CLEET certified preferred, but not required
• All applicants must be able to pass Background Check, Polygraph, Drug Screen & Oklahoma Police Pension Physical
Non-CLEET certified:
Must be able to pass the following test: Physical Agility, POSSE/Written exam, MMPI
Key Responsibilities
This position is an entry-level law enforcement officer in the Police Department.
This is responsible general duty police work in protecting the life, persons, and property of the citizens of the City of Harrah through equitable enforcement of laws and ordinances.
An employee in this class functions as the initial responding officer on police calls, conducts investigations, and maintains routine patrol activities to preserve the peace, enforce laws, prevent and deter crime, protect life and property, arrest suspected violators of the law, and render service to the public.
Duties are performed under general supervision in accordance with well-established police practices, standards, and departmental policy and regulations. This work may frequently involve hazardous or strenuous tasks but always involves the exercise of initiative and independent judgment in emergency situations.
Salary/Compensation

Starting pay for Recruit $44,012.80 annual – Not Certified
$45,177.60 annual - Certified
Insurance: health, dental, vision, and life.
(100% paid for Employee and 75% paid for dependents)
Paid leave: Vacation, Sick, Holiday
Retirement: Oklahoma Police Pension
All uniforms and equipment are provided
Take home vehicle-maximum miles set by contract.
College tuition reimbursement and degree incentive
