Director Greg Mashburn

  • Greg Mashburn is the Director of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Greg Mashburn graduated from Idabel High School in 1990. His mother worked in the McCurtain County District Attorney’s Office in Idabel for 20 years.
  • For the past 30 years, Greg and his family have lived in Norman. Mashburn attended Harding University in Arkansas on a football scholarship, graduating in 1995. He then obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University Of Oklahoma School Of Law in 1998.
  • Greg Mashburn spent a decade learning to advocate for victims as an Assistant District Attorney in Oklahoma County. There he built an impressive record, becoming a Division Chief just six years after he began his career. In 2006, Greg was elected as District Attorney for District 21 which included Cleveland, Garvin, and McClain Counties. Greg spent 18 years as the DA building an impressive record both as a prosecutor and an administrator. In 2008, Mashburn was named outstanding District Attorney for the State of Oklahoma after only his first year in office.
  • In 2024, he was selected a second time. In addition, his office and staff were recognized locally and statewide with numerous awards for excellence. Greg is a member of Alameda Church of Christ.
  • On the State level, he previously held a leadership position with the Oklahoma District Attorney’s Council having been appointed by the Oklahoma Bar Association to serve on the five person District Attorney’s Council. Prior to that, Greg served as president of the District Attorney’s Council and the Oklahoma District Attorney’s Association.
  • In 2015 Governor Mary Fallin appointed Greg to serve on the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control Commission. Nationally, Greg has served on the NDAA Board of Directors and has been a faculty member at trainings across the country.
  • For those who know Greg Mashburn well, his dedication to public service is evident and constant.
