The Oklahoma State Board of Behavioral Health Licensure ("the Board") keeps an online public registry of Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Marital and Family Therapists (LMFT), and Licensed Behavioral Practitioners (LBP). You can use it to check whether a license is active and whether the Board has taken any disciplinary action.

The Board controls all of the registry's data, so the results are official. They carry the same weight as a direct request to the Board and constitute a primary source verification.

How to use your verification

Rules vary by agency, so check the application requirements of the agency you're applying to.

• Oklahoma Secretary of State: If you're forming a PLLC or LLC, the office accepts a printout of your online verification.
• Other states that accept a printout: Most states let you print or save your active license as a PDF and upload it yourself. This is the fastest and cheapest option.
• States that don't accept a printout: You may send an email and request a verification be sent directly to another state. Include the email address of the agency or board that should receive it. The Board will not fill out another state's verification forms, but will forward a copy of the publicly availble verification.
