Complaint Information and Procedures

The State Board of Behavioral Health Licensure (BBHL) has the responsibility of enforcing the regulations governing Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Martial and Family Therapists (LMFT), and Licensed Behavioral Practitioners (LBP). You may search to determine if the professional in question is providing services under the jurisdiction of the Board at the following link: Licensee Search

To file a Request for Inquiry (RFI) against a candidate for licensure or a license holder under the jurisdiction of the Board, please follow the instructions at the following link: Request for Inquiry

Please note, the Board of Behavioral Health Licensure (BBHL) does not license and/or certify behavioral health facilities and the Board does not have jurisdiction over these types of facilities. If the agency is an in-patient medical care facility it may be considered a medical facility. Medical facilities are licensed by the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH). If the agency is an out-patient behavioral health service, then the agency would most likely be certified by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) and ODMHSAS would have jurisdiction over the agency.
