Verification of Academic Standing

If you're applying for a license but haven't officially graduated yet, you can optionally request permission to take your licensing exam early — before your degree shows up on your official transcript.

You don't need this option if: You already submitted a complete application with your official (final) transcript.

If you want to apply prior to graduation, you need to submit:

  1. Your license application.
  2. The application fee.
  3. A form documenting your practicum/internship.
  4. A completed background check.
  5. An unofficial transcript.
  6. A "Verification of Academic Standing" form. Click here to download the Verification of Academic Standing

About the verification form:

  • It has to be signed by someone at your school (like an administrator) confirming you're on track to finish all degree requirements by your expected graduation date.
  • Timing matters: it can't be signed/dated or sent to the Board more than 60 days before your expected graduation date.

Important catch: Even if you get approved to test early using this process, you'll still need to send in your official transcript once you actually graduate. Your application isn't considered fully complete until then — and you also can't request approval for a supervision agreement until that official transcript is in.
