Approved Supervisors

To apply, you'll go to the online Licensee portal and log into your account account. Use the following link to access the applicant portal: Licensee Portal

Once logged into your account find "Supervisor Application" (on the left-hand side) to complete the application.

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Supervisor:

Either:

• Be an NBCC-certified Approved Clinical Supervisor who knows Oklahoma's LPC laws, OR
• Be a licensed LPC with 2+ years of experience since getting licensed, who has taken a 45-hour graduate supervision course (or approved equivalent), and passed the Oklahoma Legal and Ethical Responsibilities Exam (OLERE).

Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT) Supervisor:

Either:

• Be an AAMFT-approved supervisor who knows Oklahoma's LMFT rules, OR
• Be a licensed LMFT with 2+ years of experience since licensure, who has completed a 45-hour graduate supervision course (or approved equivalent).

Licensed Behavioral Practitioner (LBP) Supervisor:

You must:

1. Hold an Oklahoma license as an LBP, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, or Physician.
2. Have 2+ years of experience in work similar to what your supervisee will do.
3. Pass the LBP State Standards Test.
4. Complete 10 hours of TAMP-approved continuing education.
5. Send the Board a letter agreeing to be on-call 24/7 (with a backup plan), and agreeing to teach the LBP Act and Regulations to your supervisee.

Supervision equivalency course:

The "supervision equivalency course" is a 45-hour course including 15 hours of in-person class time plus 30 hours of independent directed study. The Board approves the course content, but the Board's office doesn't track the actual class schedule — instructors set their own dates. So if you want to take this course, you need to reach out directly to one of the Board-approved instructors listed below to find out when they're next offering it.

Important note: For a course to qualify it must include a minimum of four (4) supervisors-in-training.
