2022 Pinning Ceremony

Saturday, June 11, 2022

Board member and Architect M. Bradley Gaskins addresses the new licensees.

On Saturday, June 11th, 2022, the Oklahoma Board of Architects, Landscape Architects and Registered Commercial Interior Designers held the third annual Pinning Ceremony; this ceremony recognizes newly-licensed Architects, Landscape Architects, and Registered Commercial Interior Designers who do not currently hold a license in any other jurisdiction, with the Oklahoma license being their first professional license. After being paused for two years during the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2022 Pinning Ceremony recognized the professionals licensed in 2020 and 2021.

OBA Board Members Bradley Gaskins (Architect and Board Secretary-Treasurer), Scott Howard (Landscape Architect and Board Chair), and Mark Taylor (Registered Commercial Interior Designer) reminded the licensees that the protection of the public is their first priority and is the purpose of regulation through licensure. They also charged them with the responsibility of mentoring the next generation of professionals and working together to bring the professions into the future.

The 2023 Pinning Ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 2 p.m.
