Building Employment Skills for Today (BEST) and Summer Transition Employment Program (STEP) – Gaining summer work experience and improving employment readiness among youth ages 16-21 with disabilities.
These camps are for clients of DRS, potentially eligible students and/or returning to high school in August 2022. Students can have the opportunity to work part-time up to 25 hours a week for a business in the community of your area.
The first week is BEST and it is one week of employment training. The other 4 weeks is 4 ½ days of part-time work and ½ day of skill development with debriefing weekly.
