OFBCI Respond with local Tornado resources

Here is a list of Faith-Based resources for tornado victims in the Harrah/Choctaw area. This is not comprehensive, but what we currently have. If you are a church or community organization offering services or goods to the public and would like to be included, please email ofbci@okdhs.org.
- Samaritan’s Purse is in OKC. Responding to Oklahoma City Tornadoes
- They are also looking for volunteers: Samaritan's Purse: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Tornado Response
- Harrah Church of the Nazarene has a food pantry, water bottles, tarps and trash bags.
- Eastside Church of Christ in Midwest City is offering free clothing from 1pm – 5pm on 11/12 and on 12/10. They also have a small food pantry.
Harrah Church is in cooperation with their Harrah Fire Dept and Red Cross and was accepting donations and then distributing those things. They will coordinate how we can get you the tarp provided through the Red Cross. Harrah Church is located at 101 S Dobbs Rd Harrah OK 73045
Donations needed are: Toiletries, Water/Sports Drinks, Blankets, and Pantry foods.

Additionally, Oklahoma Human Services shared SNAP policy allows for the replacement of food purchased with SNAP benefits that was destroyed in a household misfortune such as a fire, tornado, or flood. The amount of the replacement must be for the amount of the food loss - not to exceed the amount of the monthly benefit issued to the household. This request must be reported within 10 calendar days of the loss of food and the loss must be verified. The household must also sign (or verbally approve) an affidavit of loss which can be completed at an Oklahoma Human Services office or by calling our contact center at 405-522-5050.
