About
Governor Stitt established the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI) in 2024. The office was created to connect and recognize the efforts and resources of faith-based and community partners throughout Oklahoma. The OFBCI is built upon four foundational pillars: Fatherhood, Family, Food Security, and Foster Care & Adoption. Through these pillars, the office actively engages with communities to support programs and initiatives that improve lives across the state.
Designed as a "one-stop-shop," the OFBCI helps organizations navigate and collaborate with five key state agencies: Oklahoma Human Services, Office of Juvenile Affairs, Department of Corrections, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse and Oklahoma State Department of Health. OFBCI also highlights the amazing work community and faith-based organizations do every day in their local community.
Be A Neighbor (BAN) is a signature initiative launched by Governor Stitt in February 2020. This free, statewide technology platform connects Oklahomans to vital services by promoting resources offered by faith-based, nonprofit, and community organizations. BAN enables organizations—known as “Neighbors”—to register and share opportunities available in their areas. Community members can then search the platform to find local services tailored to their needs. At its core, Be A Neighbor is grounded in a simple but powerful mission: neighbors helping neighbors.
Together, we believe Oklahoma is stronger when we work together to serve one another.
