The Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI) seeks to ensure Oklahomans are provided with the resources needed to help strengthen their families and communities. Amazing work is already being done across the state by faith-based entities and local organizations. The OFBCI exists to be a point of connection between these efforts by providing information through Be A Neighbor and other state agency resources.
Faith-based and community organizations who want to do good and deepen their service to their community are encouraged to register with Be A Neighbor to help promote their resources. Whether you are a local service provider, clothing closet, food pantry, or other ministry offering community outreach, Be A Neighbor is a useful tool to further inform your local community about the services you offer. After all, we are all stronger when we work together.

Everyone has a part to play; what’s yours?
Foster families play a vital role in the child welfare system, offering a safe place for children while their families work to improve safety concerns. Oklahoma Human Services continues to need more foster families in every community to serve children in state custody, particularly families who are willing to serve children with significant behavioral health needs. For more information about becoming or helping support a foster parent, visit OKFosters.org or call Oklahoma Human Services at 1-800-376-9729.

Each child was carefully created by God and there's no greater honor or responsibility than to raise them and remind them of their inherent value."
