Meet D'Elbie Walker

D’Elbie Walker, MBA currently serving as the Community Engagement and Health Planning Coordinator for the Oklahoma State Department of Health, brings a wealth of experience and passion to the forefront. With a sterling 20-year tenure at OSDH, her journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Her previous role as the Community Engagement and Health Planning Manager for OSDH District 7 eight counties showcased her servant leadership during the critical times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, D’Elbie worked as the Regional Director over five County health Departments, demonstrating a keen ability to navigate and address pressing public health challenges in rural Oklahoma.
Beyond her distinguished career within OSDH, D’Elbie is a force for positive change in her community. She enjoyed her five-years of service on the City of Muskogee Foundation Board. D’Elbie’s current positions in the community are on the City of Muskogee Planning and Zoning Commission, a trustee on the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center Trust Authority. She also serves as a Board Director for Earnest Love, a national organization assisting women in overcoming abuse and trauma. Each one highlights her commitment to making a difference. Her involvement in various roles within her church, include serving as the Finance Manager and an Elder, both reflects her deep-rooted commitment to her faith in Christ.
