Fingerprinting

Background checks are a two part process:

  1. The DHS hiring representative will gather the necessary personal information and consents required to submit a fingerprint based background check.
  2. The DHS hiring representative will provide you the information needed to set up a successful fingerprint appointment. You will need to obtain a specific “service code” or link to create a fingerprint appointment for the correct reason.

The DHS employee may visit www.identogo.com  to schedule a fingerprinting appointment, or use the link provided by their agency or division representative.  You will use your zip code to locate the closest Live Scan vendor site to you.

*Please note: if you are fingerprinted using the wrong service code, you may have to repeat the process.
