- Standing Membership Subcommittee Report:

- Subcommittee members have not met in-person since Eloise retired
- Recommendations for appointments:
- State Fire Marshall – Susan Cain – 1st term begins in June
- Corporate Child Care – Cheryl Hight – 2nd term
- Standing Membership Subcommittee Chair - Gayla Carnagey
- All recommendations approved unanimously
- The following positions are still vacant:

- Jason Charles terms out as Board Chairperson as of this meeting

- Nominations will remain open so any other nominations can be submitted to Standing Membership Subcommittee members

- Family Child Care Homes Standing Subcommittee

- A draft copy of subcommittee recommendations for possible STARS expansion was reviewed and members provided feedback
- Suggestions for the subcommittee to consider will be accepted until the end of the March. Final draft will be submitted to board after any changes.

- Subcommittee workgroup on child care complaint processes met with Child Care Services – there is a follow-up meeting scheduled for April to continue the discussion
- Have not met as a subcommittee since then but will be meeting again before June CCAC in OKC area
- Residential Standing Subcommittee

- Subcommittee last met on Feb. 19 and discussed proposed licensing change.

- Members discussed why SB 951 language was changed from what members agreed upon during Sept. 11, 2019 meeting

- New Business:
- Jill Goyette, YMCA – April is Child Abuse Prevention Month
- The YMCA of the USA along with 3 other major organizations – Darkness to Light, Presidium, and Redwoods – are hosting 5 Days of Action, April 13-17, focused on child sexual abuse prevention and getting the word out using the words Know, See, and Respond – to simplify a complex topic to be able to talk about child sexual abuse prevention. Organizations can register at fivedaysofaction.org.
- April 14 at 10 am there will be a press conference at the capitol in the Blue Room
- Tammy Maus asked if DHS could talk about new coaching department – what that will entail, etc.
- 10 new positions will be working with staff and programs to encourage quality and they're going through training on different subjects – one of those is the pyramid model
- Debra Andersen – Oklahoma is in the initial stages of thinking about how to set up a state leadership team to become a state that has a statewide implementation cross-sector – across all early childhood care and education settings with the pyramid model. That will provide an anchor of organization across all programs – coordination and communication about what the pyramid model is and all the components of that and how that supports social emotional development for kids.

- Public Comments:
- Janell Wheat – spoke about recent issue at her center with a parent and the resulting complaint that parent reported to DHS
- Erica Richmond – spoke about DHS complaint system and her own experience with false reports – would like parents to have to pay a charge for false complaints
- Shane Williams – spoke about Bill 1020 – which basically concentrates on false claims
