Subject: AuthentiCare Known Issue
Date: January 5th, 2023
ADvantage is aware of an ongoing issue with claims transmitting incorrectly out of AuthentiCare for Members that have a Medicaid ID that begins with the letter “B.” Claims are being denied due to the claim file sending Members’ 9-digit Medicaid ID instead of the required “B” ID number. This issue began with claims filled 12/06/2022 and forward.
Please review your recent claim submissions to ensure all claims showing billed out of AuthentiCare appear at OHCA and notify AuthentiCare Client Support with any issues.

If your agency has not already uploaded the 835 report for this billing cycle, Fiserv is asking that you please refrain from doing so until they have resolved this issue. Fiserv is working on a permanent fix and has stated the issue should be resolved no later than the end of next week.
