Mustang Treatment Center

Established in January 2015, Mustang Treatment Center provides a safe, supportive, and healing environment for female youth. We recognize that each young person in our care has a unique story, and we are committed to offering individualized, trauma-responsive programming that fosters healing, growth, and empowerment. Our approach is centered on understanding the impact of trauma and creating an environment where youth feel safe, supported, and respected. We believe in measurable, outcome-driven care that prioritizes each youth’s emotional well-being and personal development.

Therapeutic Services
Each youth receives an individualized treatment plan tailored to their specific needs, strengths, and goals. Our licensed therapists provide weekly individual therapy, offering a space for healing and self-discovery. Recognizing the importance of connection and support, we prioritize family involvement through monthly family therapy sessions, fostering stronger relationships and support systems. In addition to individual therapy, youth participate in twice-weekly group therapy sessions, where they build social skills, develop healthy peer relationships, and practice emotional regulation in a supportive setting.

Family & Community Engagement
We understand the importance of maintaining meaningful connections with family and loved ones. Youth have scheduled phone calls on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to stay in touch with their support systems. Additionally, Mustang Treatment Center offers visitation Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with Sunday visits available upon request. Families can schedule visits to ensure quality time together. Each youth is assigned a case manager who maintains monthly communication with family members, providing updates on progress and identifying community resources to support long-term success beyond treatment.

Education & Career Developmen
We believe in equipping youth with the tools they need for academic success and future independence. Through our partnership with Mustang Public Schools, we offer online high school classes and GED preparation. Many of our residents graduate with their high school diploma or earn their GED while in our care. To support career readiness, we provide access to Career Tech opportunities, including a hands-on dog grooming program where youth gain valuable vocational skills. Upon completion, they receive a certification that can assist in future employment.

Community Involvement & Life Skills
Giving back to the community is an essential part of building self-worth and a sense of purpose. Youth have opportunities to participate in community service projects, helping them develop responsibility and empathy while earning service hours. Mustang Treatment Center values positive community partnerships to enhance programming. Volunteers from Life Church lead enriching activities such as cooking and art classes, while our partnership with House of Healing in El Reno provides leadership development through equine-assisted learning. Monthly creative activities, such as "Praise and Palette" painting sessions, allow youth to express themselves in a safe and supportive space.

Recreation & Wellness
Physical activity and recreation are integral to overall well-being. We offer a variety of activities each month to encourage movement, creativity, and enjoyment. Youth also participate in monthly outings, exploring new experiences such as visiting the zoo, horseback riding, attending movies, and dining at restaurants. These opportunities promote confidence, teamwork, and social engagement.

At Mustang Treatment Center, we are committed to providing a nurturing and trauma-responsive environment where every young person can heal, grow, and build a brighter future.
