Lighthouse
Lighthouse Group Home is designed to help male youth with problematic sexual behavior(s). Lighthouse will provide a treatment environment that offers an active and structured day filled with productive tasks. Our group home offers residential treatment, an educational program, and prepares residents for being returned to their home communities once treatment is completed. Our home includes 16 male youth and staff members working together to create a safe and healthy environment. It is our goal during a youth’s stay with us that youth develop the skills, values, and improved self-identity necessary to succeed and become a healthy, productive citizen.
To achieve the goals of the program, the youth’s help and cooperation is necessary. By demonstrating a positive attitude and positive behaviors, youth will be able to progress through the program and earn privileges. At Level 3, this includes passes with appropriate family members.
The resident handbook for each Level, 1-5, is designed to provide youth with the necessary information to make their time the most productive possible. The handbook contains the expectations and responsibilities youth have as well as rules of appropriate conduct, visitation information, an explanation of the level system, and other important information.
Lighthouse contracts with Norman Public Schools to provide a certified teacher. Residents attend school 6 hours per day and are provided instructional studies according to the State of Oklahoma Department of Education. Residents who prefer to earn a GED are assisted with preparation and testing.
