Mission Statement

Youth Emerging Leaders (YEL) is dedicated to empowering young leaders, both with and without lived experience in the juvenile justice system, by providing opportunities for meaningufl engagement, leadership development, and community impact. Through active participation in board meetings, organizing community events, and contributing to service projects, YEL members cultivate the skills and insights necessary to influence policies and practices that shape their communities. Our mission is to foster a diverse and motivational network fo youth who are committed to advocacy, collaboration, and positive change.
