Office of Juvenile Affairs (OJA), along with sister agencies across the state, has been celebrating the hard work and dedication of state employees for the past few days as part of Public Service Recognition Week.
According to OJA Executive Director Steven Buck, OJA employees make life-changing contributions to the well-being and success of the youth and families served by the agency. “The OJA team’s commitment to Oklahoma's at-risk youth and their families is to be admired. OJA staff make a difference in families that may be struggling with family issues, educational struggles, poverty, mental health or substance abuse challenges. We are enriched by their service to the agency and to their communities. Their professionalism and responsibility to the public helps bring about tangible, meaningful results for a brighter future in our state and increased public safety.
Buck, who serves concurrently as Oklahoma’s Cabinet Secretary for Health and Human Services, added, “ State service delivery is at its best when agencies collaborate effectively. I am very impressed by the work done by our sister agencies and appreciate all state employees who work together to deliver critical services to the state of Oklahoma.”
