Purpose

The purpose of the Virtual Open House is to present information about the proposed improvements to US-281 in Caddo County, Oklahoma and obtain information from the public to further assist in the indentification of critical social, economic, and environmental effects that may result from the project.

Description

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is proposing to improve US-281 over the Washita River and Overflows in Caddo County, Oklahoma.

As part of our efforts to keep the public informed of this project and involved in the decision process, ODOT has scheduled a public meeting. The meeting will include a presentation about the proposed improvements to US-281 including why the improvements are needed, the alternatives under consideration, and the expected impacts to motorists and the surrounding community. The purpose for the meeting is to obtain information from the public to further assist in the identification of critical social, economic, and environmental effects that may result from the project.
