  • Time: 6:00 PM
  • Location: Comanche Public Schools Elementary Cafeteria

    Comanche, OK 73529

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) proposes to improve SH-53 from NS-278 to S. 5th St., just west of the City of Comanche in Stephens County, OK. The existing SH-53 has narrow driving lanes with one foot shoulders, limited sight distance, and inadequate vertical curves. Improvements will include two twelve foot driving laves, with sections of eight foot paved shoulder, curb & gutter with center turn lane, and sidewalk. The purpose of this project is to improve safety and mobility on SH-53.

As part of our efforts to keep the public informed and involved in the decision making process, ODOT has scheduled a Public Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public and solicit comments regarding the Department’s proposed conceptual improvements to SH-53.
