Mitigation Success

ODOT always considers the potential impact of its projects on historic bridges and attempts to avoid or minimize those impacts wherever possible. Successful mitigation for these structures can take many forms ranging from innovative designs that preserve a historic bridge’s look and feel to the adaptive reuse of the bridge’s trusses.
