Title VII Information

Title VII prevents employers from discriminating based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information and prohibits retaliation for reporting discrimination. Employers must also provide reasonable accomodations for employees' religious practices unless it imposes an undue hardship.


Complaint Process

Anyone can file a complaint if they experience prohibited discrimination or retaliation under Civil Rights Laws. Title VII Complaints must be filed within one hundred and eighty (180) days following the discriminatory act or when the conduct was discovered. This deadline can be extended by up to 365 days by the Contract Compliance Division, and the Agency may also consider incidents outside these timeframes under the Appointing Authority's direction.
