Title VI Information

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects people from discrimination based on race, color or national origin in programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance. Title VI states that:

No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.


Complaint Process

Any person who believes that he or she, individually, as a member of any specific class, has been subjected to discrimination prohibited by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, may file a complaint with the Title VI Coordinator with the Office of Contract Complaince. Title VI Complaints must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discriminatory event or practice. Complaints must be filed using the ODOT's Title VI Complaint Form and submitted electronically or mailed to:
