Brent Almquist
District Five Engineer

Brent Almquist, District Engineer for ODOT’s Division Five in Clinton, has been with the department for more than 30 years. District Five encompasses Beckham, Blaine, Custer, Dewey, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Kiowa, Roger Mills, Tillman and Washita counties western and southwestern Oklahoma.

A native of La Crosse, Kansas, he earned his Civil Engineering degree at Kansas State University. He came to ODOT in 1983 as an engineer-in-training at the Altus Residency. He was promoted to Engineer Intern in 1987 and moved to the Clinton Residency.
During his time at Clinton, he became Assistant Resident Engineer, and then moved up in 1991 to Area Maintenance Engineer at the district office in Clinton. Almquist became Engineering Manager in 1993 and was promoted to Assistant District Engineer in 1995.  In 1997, he moved up to his present position.

He has been a registered Professional Engineer since 1989. Almquist has two sons and lives in Clinton.
