America’s Seed Fund—the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs—helps small businesses develop innovative technologies and bring them to market. These programs fund research and development to evaluate technical feasibility, build prototypes and advance commercialization. STTR also requires research partnerships between small businesses and universities or nonprofit research institutions.

OCAST supports Oklahoma companies through OK Catalyst, the statewide SBIR/STTR support program housed at the University of Oklahoma’s Tom Love Innovation Hub. OK Catalyst helps small businesses and research teams identify agency and topic fit, strengthen proposals, understand customer needs and connect with business and research partners.
