SART Connection Call - PREA & SARTs: Building Connections Across Systems

Description

Monthly Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Connection Calls are informal, discussion-based virtual sessions hosted by MNCASA to support multidisciplinary teams nationwide. SARTs play a critical role in supporting survivors across every system, including correctional settings. This month's call explores how SARTs can strengthen collaboration with facilities implementing the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), and how multidisciplinary partners can work together to improve coordinated responses for people who experience sexual assault while incarcerated. This call is free and open to SART team members from across the nation, including Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Grants to Improve the Criminal Justice Response (ICJR) Program and Rural Program grantees and potential grantees. Whether you're part of an existing SART or are in the early stages of building one, you're welcome to join. Participants may include correctional officers, law enforcement, community-based advocates, prosecutors, military sexual assault coordinators, and other multidisciplinary professionals involved in sexual assault response. Join us for a practical, discussion-based session designed to help teams deepen cross-system partnerships and enhance survivor-centered responses.
