Description

ChildFirst® Oklahoma is the ideal course for multidisciplinary child abuse team investigators and prosecutors seeking to enhance their ability to speak to and for abused children in Oklahoma. ChildFirst® Oklahoma supports a multidisciplinary approach (MDT) to child maltreatment cases and satisfies statutory training requirements for new core MDT members. This in-person course is limited to 30 students. All registrations are considered applications and do not guarantee approval to participate. ChildFirst® Oklahoma faculty will review all registrations and determine who is approved to participate in the training. Preference will be given to applicants who apply as part of a group that is an active member of an MDT : Prosecutor (District Attorneys Office), Child Protective Services (Oklahoma Human Services or Tribal Nation Indian Child Welfare), law enforcement , mental health, forensic interviewers, victim/family advocates, Children's Advocacy Center leadership ). Individual applications will also be considered. Applicants who will not be actively providing forensic interviews on behalf of an MDT may be considered to audit the training and would not participate the mock interview activity.
