Essential connectors within the arts ecosystem, Arts Service Organizations (ASO) in Oklahoma are urged to complete the 2026 National Arts Services Organizations Survey as part of a first-of-its-kind effort by the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) to better understand the roles, impacts, and evolution of ASOs amid a changing arts landscape.
ASOs are entities with missions and programs focused on serving artists, arts workers, and entities that deliver the arts as experiences, goods, and services. They can be formal or informal organizations and collectives, and can include regranting and intermediary organizations. Examples of ASOs include a theatre company that offers training for directors; a presenter that organizes evaluations on arts and culture in their community; and, a social service organization that engages in arts advocacy.
