Creative Forces® Grants Open in November

Tuesday, November 03, 2026

Many Oklahomans have a strong, proud connection to military service, and their service deserves to be acknowledged through our investment in their health and wellbeing.

Through Creative Forces®, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), in partnership with the Mid-America Arts Alliance, is investing in military-connected individuals by making grant funding available to eligible nonprofit organizations. Applications for the Creative Forces® Community Engagement Grants open in November.

Funding of up to $25,000 can support projects designed to serve active-duty service members, National Guardsmen and Reservists, veterans, military families, caregivers, and health care workers serving military communities. Many types of projects can be supported, including residencies, arts instruction, creation of a work of art, concerts and exhibitions, and more.

Organizations must have at least three-years experience in presenting/producing arts-based projects and/or programming for military communities.
