Grants for Schools Can Spark Learning through Creativity

This school year, build lessons that spark curiosity, deepen engagement, and put the creative process at the center of student learning. Grant funding from the Oklahoma Arts Council can make these goals possible through the power of the arts.

Below, learn about our grant programs for schools and plan now to bring funding to your classroom this school year.

  • Essential Arts Education Grants for Schools – provide up to $5,000 twice per school year (10% match) for eligible programs led by qualified teaching artists during the school day.

  • Expanded Arts Education Grants for Schools – provide up to $2,500 once per school year (10% match) for eligible programs led by qualified teaching artists outside of normal school hours.

  • Classroom Supply Grants for Visual and Performing Arts – provide up to $500 for schools to purchase eligible supplies and materials for visual and performing arts programs. Apply early for this! Get access to our grant portal by August 21.

  • Capitol Art Field Trip Grants – provide reimbursement for eligible expenses to bring students to the Oklahoma State Capitol for an unforgettable experience in art, history, and government.

  • Arts in Alternative Education Grants – provide up to $5,000 twice per school year (5% match) for eligible programs led by qualified teaching artists at schools designated as alternative education sites by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
